Our Blogs

PLEASE READ - NEW as of 7/1, 6:45pm.

WHERE DO I ADD MY BLOG URL?
At the TOP of this page, you will see that we have begun to cluster you into what we call "blogging cohorts" -- there will ultimately be six groups of eight. We will take care of sorting you into groups here at the top of this page. They will be intentionally random (not organized by subject area) so that you can get a strong cross-curricular sampling of ideas. Your task is to add your blogURL under the subject area below (see fuchsia heading). Do NOT put yourself into a blogging cohort here. You are only responsible for following the blogs of the people in your blogging cohort, although you are welcome to follow others as well (hence, we're leaving your list by subject area in place).

HOW MANY BLOG COMMENTS? AND WHEN?
You are responsible for a total of 20 blog comments over the course of the summer. You can do this however you wish -- obviously, doing some each week will get you to the finish line with the least amount of stress, but you can do it when you have time. We do not count up until the end of the summer.

DO YOU MEAN BY COMMENTING ON PEOPLE'S BLOGS?
At the bottom of someone's post (or entry), you'll see something that says "no comments" or " comments," with the [[#|blank]] line replaced by a number. Click that. It will open up a box where you can log in (unless you already are) and leave your reflective, thoughtful response. (See assignment sheet for details.) Be sure to click SUBMIT. You may be asked to do "word verification" or "captcha" where you look at some kind of squiggly letters and type them in. Always do a quick check to make sure your comment went through!
