Socrative: set up a fee account and you can ask students questions in class and get their responses in nicely organized visual that facilitates on the spot feedback. You can also create quizzes for which students get instant responses.
TodaysMeet:This tool organizes "backchannel" communication in your class if you want to afford your students the opportunity to ask questions, etc. while the lesson or work session is going on.
Google Earth IdeasThis presentation was good in that the presenter offered up many ideas and resources that teachers could utilize as they saw fit in their own classrooms. Additionally, the link takes you to a google drive with a lot of information and resources she has.

    you arrive at 8:15.between 8 and 8:30.
Our official day at the MACUL Conference on Friday, March 22nd will run from 8:30 until 2. We recommend that you attend the Closing Keynote (Steve Dembo from Discovery Schools on “Building Bolder Schools”) from 2:30-3:30 if you can stay. We expect that all of you will attend at least two presentations, though we also encourage you to make time to visit the exhibits.
Remember that although we have paid for you to be there as a group, you do not need a name tag or to check in at the MACUL desk. Should someone inquire, identify yourself as being from the UM School of Education.

Change in Meeting Date to March 12th:
Friends, we recently became aware that the Ann Arbor Public Schools has scheduled a job fair on the evening of February 28th, the same time and date as our scheduled final meeting of ED 504. Knowing that many of you will want to attend this job fair, we have moved this final meeting of ED 504 to Tuesday, March 12th from 5:30-8:30 in the Whitney. We know that this date/time might not fit everyone's schedule, but we knew that Feb. 28 worked for no one…we appreciate your efforts to make this meeting time work.

To gain admittance to the exhibits, you need one of our two floating exhibit passes. To ask for one or to return the exhibit pass, check in with your classmates or via one of these means:
    - Text Jeff (see above)
    - Tweet with #smac504 as the hashtag
    Recommended Dress Code:
School clothes (e.g., khakis and a shirt with a collar). Avoid Casual Friday temptations like a hoodie, t-shirt, or denim.
Here's a link to the MACUL Conference Program with some recommendations from us included--plan ahead and choose the sessions that you want to attend. You will not get a program at the conference ... try putting this in your Evernote or Dropbox account if you have a smartphone so you can access it during the conference!
